At 12 mm thick, with strips joined by connectors, the mat remains rigid and stable under continuous heavy traffic without deforming or shifting.

Unlike standalone retail doormats, the Connected Mat can be installed on top of the floor with rubber edges or recessed into a leveled subfloor flush with the adjacent floor, eliminating uneven surfaces and the risk of tripping. Choose the installation type before construction

Define the installation type—surface-mounted or recessed—before construction begins or the product is purchased, as recessed installation requires prior civil work and cannot be carried out after construction is complete.

Surface-mounted installation

The mat is placed directly on the surface and fitted with rubber edges around the assembly, ensuring a finished appearance and a safe transition between the mat and the adjacent floor. The edges may be fixed or removable. No construction or civil work is required.

Recessed installation

The mat is inserted into a lowered box previously created in the subfloor, so that the mat’s surface is level with the surrounding floor. It eliminates any raised areas or unevenness, reduces the risk of tripping, and is safer for people with reduced mobility, wheelchair users, and cart traffic.

Important for locations with carts

Surface-mounted installation with rubber edges is not recommended for locations with heavy shopping cart traffic, as the edges may be damaged under these conditions. In such cases, prefer recessed installation.

Routine cleaning

Perform cleaning preferably on site, avoiding unnecessary movement of the rug. The frequency should be proportional to the level of traffic in the environment.

How do I properly clean this rug?

Cleaning should preferably be done in place, starting with a vacuum cleaner to remove dry debris, followed by a damp cloth with neutral soap for larger dirt. The use of solvents, thinners, alcohol, and alkaline detergents is prohibited, as these products degrade PVC, rubber, and polypropylene fibers. When it is necessary to remove the rug, roll it up with the top side facing up, supporting the ends when lifting to prevent the rubber backing from detaching.
