Public-use environments that still lack tactile signage are noncompliant with NBR 16537:2024, Federal Law No. 10,098/2000, and Decree No. 5,296/2004, and are subject to penalties. The Kapazi Directional Tactile Marking Flooring resolves this compliance issue without structural work: 25 x 25 cm panels made of 100% PVC, with raised linear ridges, installed directly over the existing floor using contact adhesive. Each box of 16 units covers 1 m², and light traffic can be permitted after 24 hours.
The linear ridges physically guide the movement of people with visual impairments and can be detected by their feet, footwear, and long canes. Available in Yellow, Royal Blue, and Black, the product provides the color contrast required to also serve users with low vision; the project should select the color that ensures a minimum difference of 30 LRV points from the adjacent floor. To create a complete accessible route, the Directional model should be combined with the Kapazi Warning model, which indicates points requiring attention along the route.

Clean the floor
Clean the installation area with a cloth dampened with alcohol to remove dust, grease, and residue. Wait until it is completely dry before proceeding.

Mark the locations
Using masking tape, mark the positions of each tile on the floor according to the layout defined in accordance with NBR 16537:2024.

Apply the contact adhesive
Apply contact adhesive with a spatula to both the floor surface and the back of the tile, covering the entire contact area evenly.

Wait for the adhesive to dry
Observe the drying time indicated by the adhesive manufacturer before joining the surfaces. This step is essential to ensure maximum adhesion.

Position and press the tile
Position each tile over the marking and press firmly, ensuring uniform adhesion across the entire surface.

Wait before allowing traffic
Allow light traffic only after 24 hours. Perform resistance tests only after 48 hours. Carry out the first cleaning only 72 hours after installation. The adhesive’s total curing time is 7 days.

Routine cleaning
Cleaning must be done manually, taking care to preserve the relief patterns and the integrity of the PVC.
Using solvents, thinner, alcohol, alkaline detergents, or high-pressure water may degrade the PVC surface, alter the relief patterns, and shorten the product's service life. The first cleaning should only be carried out 72 hours after installation to avoid compromising the curing of the adhesive.
